Computers were hailed as the beginning of a paperless world, but what wasn't appreciated was the parallel growth in desktop printers and instant digital print, creating a mountain of loose sheets. Although they are often only kept for the short term, these papers still need to be kept together, safe or tidy.

The solution? The most comprehensive range of files and folders available, presented by Duraweld in a user-friendly format.

How does it work?

Products within the Files & Folders web site are grouped according to their purpose and every product is shown in a basic format with a brief descripton and photograph. Dimensions are included for all products, along with a list of options demonstrating how that product can be customised to meet a particular requirement.

All products can be supplied flat packed or made up ready for use. Duraweld can also supply accessories, such as paper pads and pens, as well as a wide range of self-adhesive pockets.

SIZES & CAPACITIES

A general description is given for each product and a drawing shows its basic dimensions. Unless otherwise stated, products will hold A4 or A5 paper sizes.

In some cases the term 'oversize A4' is used. This indicates that the product will take a slightly larger sheet or that the capacity will vary depending on the number of sheets to be contained.

Oversize A4 products can be useful where a mixture of paper sheets and printed literature is to be contained, or if material has tabbed dividers or a binding edge.

The Duraweld Customer Service team (01723 584091) can answer any queries on product sizes and in many cases a sample can be provided.

MATERIALS

...Opaque, tinted, matt, gloss, frosted, clear...

This represents just  a few of the material options available and many products lend themselves to combinations of materials and colours, providing a world of creative product opportunities.

Vinyl (PVC) and polypropylene form the base materials for the range. Each is available in a range of stock colours and thickness' and sample swatches are available from the Customer Service team. Special materials or pantone matches can be ordered for larger quantities.

A flexible frosted polypropylene material - Tuftex® - has been selected for welded-in pockets for polypropylene products. Tuftex® is a strong and flexible material that stretches to accommodate papers, relaxing back to its original shape when not in use.

The materials selected by Duraweld are the best for purpose - not necessarily the cheapest - but they offer quality at competitive prices.

CUSTOMISING AND ADDING COLOUR WITH PRINT

Once the product, material and colour selection is complete, most files and folders can be customised further using print to enhance the design or add branding with logos and messages.

Screen printing is an effective way of customising products with your message, allowing you to print single or multiple colours across all or part of the material. Screen printing can be used creatively to give different effects and is suitable for smaller quantities (minimum 50 items).

Foil blocking is suitable for application in small areas, such as a logo or company name, and is particularly effective in bright gold, silver or holographic foils.

Lithographic printing is most effective for multi-colour large area coverage or photo reproduction. Litho printing only becomes cost-effective on large quantities and is best applied to white or frosted base materials.
