Organisers & Handbooks

This page contains all the information you need to now about Organisers and Handbooks. It lists capacities, sizes and ring details and should be used in conjunction with the Polyproportunities® Spec-Pack. The Pack shows the colours and thicknesses of Polypropylene and includes pockets and types of decoration available.

Organisers

Organisers are normally fitted with six ring trigger operated mechanisms mounted in the spine. Three capacities are available: 15, 20, and 25mm. The Organisers have curved spines to be easy on the hand and a closure tab which can be self-lock, press-stud or velcro dots. It is recommended that organisers are only manufactured in light and medium weight polypropylene.

The Organisers can take a vertical pocket in the front cover which has a hole punched in it to accommodate the press stud closure.

E- Type Organiser

An Organiser with a full envelope shaped closure wrap with press stud fastening and all round curved spines. Will take two capacities of six ring mechanism, the 15mm and the 20mm, and will take a vertical pocket which has a hole punched in it to accommodate the press stud closure inside the front cover.

Handbooks

Handbooks are a simple combination of a ring binder and a folio, the extra flap adds security, rigidity and locks the binder shut. All round corners make the Handbook comfortable to use and a pocket can be added to the inside front cover to hold loose papers.
All Handbooks are available in four capacities and A5 Handbooks are available in eight capacities. A4 Handbooks are best in medium weight polypropylene but the smaller A5's are suitable in both medium and light weight. These are ideal for staff manuals and safety instruction books.
A4 Handbooks take A4 paper plus tabs and A4 polypropylene pockets.
A5 Handbooks take A5 paper plus tabs and A5 polypropylene pockets.
All rounded corners make the Handbook comfortable to use and a pocket can be added to the inside front cover to hold loose papers, as shown above.

Handbook Information

With any capacity, the D-Ring is a larger mechanism than the Round Ring. This means that the cover designed to take a certain size of D-Ring will often take the next capacity up in a Round Ring.

With this in mind we list below the mechanisms that will go into each size of Handbook.

The larger the mechanism's capacity, the less likely size interchangeability will work. We recommend that only the 35mm mechanism is used in the 35mm capacity A5 Handbook and 45mm mechanism is used only in the 45mm capacity A5 Handbook.
