This page
contains all the information you need to know about A4 files and folders.
It lists types, styles and capacities, together with uses and adaptations
and should be used in conjunction with the Polyproportunities®
Spec-Pack. The Pack shows the colours and thicknesses of polypropylene
and includes pockets and the types of decoration available.

A4
& A5 Pocket File
The
Pocket File is designed to hold variable numbers of clear pockets.
Compact, flexible and very secure, the slim file has three capacities:
The 9mm capacity will take 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 pockets. The 14mm
capacity will take 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 or 24 pockets. The 25mm capacity
will take 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 or 40 pockets.
The
pockets are manufactured 2 up and so only multiples of 2 can be
added to the pocket file.
The
Pocket File has rounded corners for comfortable handling and can
be manufactured in both light and medium weight polypropylene. Vertical,
horizontal, diagonal pockets or business card holders can be added
to this file (as shown on diagram).
Ideal
as a price list, selling aid or leaflet holder. Safe with photocopies,
photographs and laser printed detail.

Fast File
The
Fast File is a simple folder for holding small amounts of pre-punched
paper. The paper is fed onto the prongs and secured with a compressor
bar and cover. The Fast File will hold up to 30 pages of 80gsm paper.
The
front cover can have title apertures cut out at the top or bottom.
The aperture is 65 x 95mm, centred, 65mm from the top or bottom.
Wrap
around title pockets can be added for shelf identification (as shown
on diagram) and covers without apertures can have vertical, diagonal
or horizontal pockets inside the front cover or business card holders
on the front.
Ideal
for small reports, manuals, project files and proposals.

Folder
The
Folder is designed for carrying working papers. Available in two
capacities, 6 and 10mm, the half box construction holds papers safely.
A front cover closure tongue secures the whole folder.
Inside
the front cover, diskette holders can be welded allowing up to four
diskettes to be housed. Alternatively, compact discs can be housed
in special pockets (as illustrated).

Though suitable in both light and medium weight polypropylene, if
postal use is envisaged medium weight polypropylene gives better protection
to the contents. |

Proposal Pack
The
Proposal Pack is an ideal way to hold unpunched loose papers. The
7mm capacity gusset holds up to 40 sheets of 80gsm paper and the
flap at the top prevents the paper from movement or falling out.
The front cover has a closing tongue allowing the whole pack to
be locked shut. Made in both light and medium weight polypropylene.

Ideal
for proposals with data sheets, for press releases or conference
notes.

Pad Holder
The
Pad Holder will take a portrait top bound pad in a special Tuftex
pocket inside the back cover. The pocket is ultrasonically welded
on and meniscured for extra strength. A diagonal pocket is placed
inside the front cover to hold loose papers. The Pad Holder is manufactured
in two capacities, 7mm and 12mm, holding 5mm and 10mm respectively.
Pad
Holders can be supplied with ruled bound paper pads.

Clipfile
The
Clipfile or clipboard is manufactured in heavy weight polypropylene
and can be supplied with or without the clip aperture on the front
and with wire or crocodile clips inside the back cover. The spine
is heat creased to ensure easy opening and a Tuftex diagonal pocket
is ultrasonically welded inside the front cover.
The
Clipfile can be supplied with a 300mm elasticated treasury tag mounted
on the back cover which will stretch over the front cover to secure
it closed.

Maxi-File
The
Maxi-File is a simple inexpensive method of binding punched papers.
The one piece cover has an integral binding system which enables
pages to turn freely, lie flat and be held tight, knocked up to
the spine when closed.
The
Maxi-File holds up to 75 sheets of 80gsm paper (7-8mm) and can have
vertical and diagonal pockets inside the front cover. A wrap-around
title pocket can be added for shelf identification and front cover
can have a business card holder welded on.
This
file is only manufactured in medium weight polypropylene.
The
Maxi-File, with its rounded edge construction, is ideal for reports,
reference files, instruction books and parts catalogues.
