Files & Folders

This page contains all the information you need to know about A4 files and folders. It lists types, styles and capacities, together with uses and adaptations and should be used in conjunction with the Polyproportunities® Spec-Pack. The Pack shows the colours and thicknesses of polypropylene and includes pockets and the types of decoration available.

A4 & A5 Pocket File

The Pocket File is designed to hold variable numbers of clear pockets. Compact, flexible and very secure, the slim file has three capacities: The 9mm capacity will take 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 pockets. The 14mm capacity will take 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 or 24 pockets. The 25mm capacity will take 26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 or 40 pockets.

The pockets are manufactured 2 up and so only multiples of 2 can be added to the pocket file.

The Pocket File has rounded corners for comfortable handling and can be manufactured in both light and medium weight polypropylene. Vertical, horizontal, diagonal pockets or business card holders can be added to this file (as shown on diagram).

Ideal as a price list, selling aid or leaflet holder. Safe with photocopies, photographs and laser printed detail.

A4 Fast File

The Fast File is a simple folder for holding small amounts of pre-punched paper. The paper is fed onto the prongs and secured with a compressor bar and cover. The Fast File will hold up to 30 pages of 80gsm paper.

The front cover can have title apertures cut out at the top or bottom. The aperture is 65 x 95mm, centred, 65mm from the top or bottom.

Wrap around title pockets can be added for shelf identification (as shown on diagram) and covers without apertures can have vertical, diagonal or horizontal pockets inside the front cover or business card holders on the front.

Ideal for small reports, manuals, project files and proposals.

A4 Folder

The Folder is designed for carrying working papers. Available in two capacities, 6 and 10mm, the half box construction holds papers safely. A front cover closure tongue secures the whole folder.

Inside the front cover, diskette holders can be welded allowing up to four diskettes to be housed. Alternatively, compact discs can be housed in special pockets (as illustrated).

Wrap around title pockets can be added for shelf or project identification and label or business card holders can be welded to the front cover. Though suitable in both light and medium weight polypropylene, if postal use is envisaged medium weight polypropylene gives better protection to the contents.

A4 Proposal Pack

The Proposal Pack is an ideal way to hold unpunched loose papers. The 7mm capacity gusset holds up to 40 sheets of 80gsm paper and the flap at the top prevents the paper from movement or falling out. The front cover has a closing tongue allowing the whole pack to be locked shut. Made in both light and medium weight polypropylene.

Wrap around title pockets can be added for shelf or project identification and label or business card holders can be welded to the front cover.

Ideal for proposals with data sheets, for press releases or conference notes.

A4 Pad Holder

The Pad Holder will take a portrait top bound pad in a special Tuftex pocket inside the back cover. The pocket is ultrasonically welded on and meniscured for extra strength. A diagonal pocket is placed inside the front cover to hold loose papers. The Pad Holder is manufactured in two capacities, 7mm and 12mm, holding 5mm and 10mm respectively.

Pad Holders can be supplied with ruled bound paper pads.

A4 Clipfile

The Clipfile or clipboard is manufactured in heavy weight polypropylene and can be supplied with or without the clip aperture on the front and with wire or crocodile clips inside the back cover. The spine is heat creased to ensure easy opening and a Tuftex diagonal pocket is ultrasonically welded inside the front cover.

The Clipfile can be supplied with a 300mm elasticated treasury tag mounted on the back cover which will stretch over the front cover to secure it closed.

A4 Maxi-File

The Maxi-File is a simple inexpensive method of binding punched papers. The one piece cover has an integral binding system which enables pages to turn freely, lie flat and be held tight, knocked up to the spine when closed.

The Maxi-File holds up to 75 sheets of 80gsm paper (7-8mm) and can have vertical and diagonal pockets inside the front cover. A wrap-around title pocket can be added for shelf identification and front cover can have a business card holder welded on.

This file is only manufactured in medium weight polypropylene.

The Maxi-File, with its rounded edge construction, is ideal for reports, reference files, instruction books and parts catalogues.
