SPINE POCKETS

There are two types of spine pocket, both full width: a MID SPINE POCKET and a BASE SPINE POCKET.

For the MID SPINE POCKET, the clear P.V.C. is pre-welded to the opaque P.V.C. before the binder is made up. This extra operation makes this type of product more expensive but it can be positioned anywhere on the spine. All we need to know is the overall depth of pocket and the distance from the base of the binder to the bottom of the pocket.
The BASE SPINE POCKET is welded in at the same time as the binder is made up and is a very inexpensive option. All we need to know is the depth of the pocket.

SPINE TICKETS

The WIDTH of the ticket is always governed by the internal width of the spine. The optimum ticket width is 5mm less than the internal spine width.

The DEPTH of the ticket however governs the depth of the pocket. The optimum depth of the pocket is 5mm more than the ticket.

SIMPLE BUSINESS CARD HOLDER

INSIDE FRONT COVER ONLY. Fixed Size: 100mm x 70mm. This pocket, open two sides, is put in at the same time as the binder is made up, and is a very inexpensive option.

POCKETS FOR BUSINESS CARDS

All we need to know is:

1.Overall size of pocket

2.Which side is open - long or short

3.Where it is positioned: Front Cover, Inside Front Cover, Inside Back Cover or Back Cover

4. How far up from the base of the spine

5. How far in from the outer edge

IMPORTANT

Cards for pockets which open on the LONG SIDE should be 5mm LESS than overall height and 7mm LESS than overall width of the pocket. Cards for pockets which open on the SHORT SIDE should be 7mm LESS than the overall height and 5mm LESS than overall width of the pocket.

HORIZONTAL POCKETS

Clear horizontal pockets, 100mm deep, hold slightly more than the vertical pockets and the contents are easier to fan through. Horizontal pockets do not have the same security because, if the binder is dropped, it is quite possible for the contents of the pocket to come out. All we need to know is whether you want a horizontal pocket inside the front cover, inside the back cover, or inside both.

VERTICAL POCKETS

Clear vertical pockets, 100mm wide, open to the spine, and enable loose papers to be securely held, with little risk of them falling out. Limited capacity. All we need to know is whether you want a vertical pocket inside the front cover, inside the back cover, or inside both.

DIAGONAL POCKETS

A clear diagonal pocket is most commonly put inside the front cover enabling loose papers to be easily stored. The happy medium between horizontal and vertical. 210 x 170mm. All we need to know is whether you want a diagonal pocket inside the front cover, inside the back cover, or inside both.
